Geelong Taekwon-do Logo

Wavy Stripes

  • Symbolise all under one umbrella, that is, there is a lot of different organisations and styles of Taekwon-do, but its all still Taekwon-do.

  • Also the Taekwon-do is very well known for its dynamic kicks but what is often forgotten it also has very powerful hand techniques. Along with grappling, wrestling, weapons defence and usage, most almost forgotten. The fist symbolises this by flying in from it source the "G" sliding along the umbrella, fast and strong.

The "G"

  • Represents that those who train with us at Geelong Taekwon-do are people from Geelong and its surrounding areas, who adhere to and believe in the principles of the fist flying along the umbrella.

The Calligraphy

  • The symbols for Taekwon-do, Taekwondo, Tae Kwon Do are the same no matter what organisation you belong to or the style you practice. This reinforces the ideology of Geelong Taekwon-do that all are from the the one source and therefore under the one umbrella. Each developing and growing into the many different branches.
